Sen. Murray: VA system needs change now, not another report
SEATTLE -- While Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., did not call for Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki to step down, she said the change was necessary for the VA to move forward and make system-wide changes to improve timely medical care for vets. “I can tell you from being right here in Washington state, we have had problems here,” Murray said Friday. “I spend a lot of time advocating for veterans who call me and say, ‘I was told I’d get in in two weeks and it’s been two months or six months.”
