Governor Inslee signs tuition reduction bill for Washington colleges, universities
SEATTLE (AP) — Gov. Jay Inslee has signed a bill that will decrease tuition for students at Washington's public colleges and universities. The measure, Senate Bill 5954, will cut tuition 5 percent this fall, and then another 10 to 15 percent at the four-year schools in fall 2016. The state budget makes up for the cut in dollars going to the state's colleges and universities by adding money to the state higher education budget from other sources.
