Jim Webb to drop out of Democratic presidential primary
WASHINGTON -- Former Virginia Sen. Jim Webb will drop out of the 2016 Democratic presidential race on Tuesday, according to a source with knowledge of the decision. Webb is expected to make the announcement at a 1 p.m. news conference. The former U.S. senator from Virginia has publicly complained about how little time he received during the Democratic debate last week. His campaign is saying he's considering dropping out of the Democratic contest, in which he's barely registering in public polls against the former secretary of state. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders is running second to Clinton.
