WATCH: Cinder the bear released into wild one year after rescue from Carlton Complex Fire
WENATCHEE, Wash. -- Nearly one year after being burned in the worst wildfire in Washington state history, a young black bear nicknamed Cinder has been returned to the wild. Cinder was found in the aftermath of the Carlton Complex Fire last summer with severely burned paws. Rescuers cared for her first at a sanctuary in California and then at a rehab facility in Idaho.
