Transit alert: 1 trains aren’t running this weekend
NEW YORK — No 1 trains will run this weekend, forcing straphangers to reconfigure their rides during the last weekend of the summer. The shutdown starts at 11:30 p.m. Friday and lasts until 5 a.m. Monday, according to the MTA. As an alternative, riders can take the 2, 3, A and C trains or free shuttle buses and M3 buses, the agency said.
