Inside North Korea by UrtheCast Gallery
The world doesn’t get many peeks behind North Korea’s walls, nor at its capital city, Pyongyang. Of course, it’s far easier to catch a glimpse from space. Captured May 30, 2016, and released for the first time Oct. 13, 2016, this Iris video shows the capital’s downtown core, where traffic looks considerably sparse for a city with a population of over 3.2 million. Aside from a smattering of cars, you can also spot some notable landmarks. To see more, visit the UrtheCast blog. Video captured by UrtheCast’s Iris video camera aboard the International Space Station.
