Tom Coburn is "About Loving" in His Opposition to a Public Option | Blue Oklahoma
{First, a cheap plug for my blog Senate Guru.} Wingnut Tom Coburn has publicly admitted that private insurers in the U.S. do ration health care. However, he's A-OK with that. Why? (emphasis added by me) "There is no compassion in any government program...Jesus said love your brother as yourself. We need to be about loving, and you can't love through the federal government," the first-term senator said. So there's no compassion in anything we do together through our government (like SCHIP health care for children and Medicare for seniors); but, we can love, apparently, through Big Insurance bureaucrats. Swell.
