Black Eyed Susan Chocolate Box
Hello Lovely People !!!!! Welcome to the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog. Today I have created a project using the lovely Black Eyed Susan. They are flowers native to North America, a popular wildflower that can be planted in a garden along with other perennials. I have decorated a handmade chocolate box with these beautiful flowers. Here is how to make the box: Step 1 – Cut yellow cardstock to measure 11-1/2 inches x 9-1/2 inches. Score at 3-1/2; 4; 7-1/2 and 8 inches on the 11-1/2 inch side. Score at 1/4; 3/4; 8-1/2 and 9-1/4 inches on the 9-1/2 inch side. Fold along all score lines. Step 2 – Cut away the side scored portions on the either side of the centre panel leaving only the centre flap as shown in the photo above. Fold the bottom flap up to the center panel, adhere the side tab to the bottom flap creating a pocket. Step 3 – Cut watercolor paper to 7-3/8 inches x 3-1/2 inches. Decorate this piece by swiping Distress ink pads onto the watercolor paper in two directions – vertically and horizontally, creating a random abstract plaid pattern.
