LAFAYETTE, Co. -- A mother mourning her young son is receiving comfort in an unexpected way. KUSA reports that Carole Adler's son, Taylor Thyfault, 21, was an Army veteran and in the final stages of cadet training with the Colorado State Patrol when he lost his life. Taylor was at a crash investigation when he was asked to help deploy stop sticks in an attempt to stop the suspect in a high-speed chase.
