Humbling Moment | Bible Scripture of the Day
Matthew 9:18-26(NIV) 18 While he was saying this, a synagogue leader came and knelt before him and said, "My daughter has just died. But come and put your hand on her, and she will live."19 Jesus got up and went with him, and so did his disciples. In many cases, Jesus encountered many skeptics among the teachers of the law. However, there was one synagogue leader who had the faith when faced with the tragedy of the death of his daughter. This synagogue leader went to Jesus publicly and did not care of being cast out of the synagogue as is the custom for anybody who sided with Jesus. The Pharisees took offense of Jesus and anybody who acknowledged Jesus being the Messiah would be thrown out of the synagogue. In John 9:20-34, the man who was born blind and healed was thrown out for challenging the Pharisees on Jesus coming from God.
