Last piece of Kurosawa museum closes door in Imari
The long-term temporary Kurosawa exhibition at Imari, Japan has closed its doors today, and in so doing seemingly brought an end to any hopes of seeing a permanent Kurosawa museum open there. The exhibition studio was opened in July 1999 as a temporary facility until a fully fledged Kurosawa museum would be constructed in its place. Unfortunately, nothing concrete happened in the next ten years, and following some financial trouble with the Kurosawa Foundation last year, it was announced that the plans were officially abandoned.
