DAILY POST has received a report from Maiduguri, the Borno State capital that over 30 people have been killed today along Damboa road when members of the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram attacked some villagers, travellers and farmers between Maiduguri and Damboa road. Residents of Dala Alamderi in Maiduguri said they brought back corpses of four of the victims who left home early today to attend to their farms close to Kukwayangiya village, about 21 kilometres from Maiduguri, the State capital. Ahamadu Salisu, a brother to one of the victims told DAILY POST that, there are 8 others who left with them this morning but could not return. Also in Maduganari ward of Maiduguri, residents said, 9 corpses of victims of the attack have been recovered while at Hajiya Zile, a suburb of Maiduguri, residents said 5 corpses were brought and have been buried.
