The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has vowed to arrest and prosecute the "mysterious snake" which allegedly took N36 million from its vault in Benue state. Fabian Benjamin, spokesman of the examination body, said this in a statement issued on Tuesday. According to The Sun, one Philomina Chieshe, a sales clerk, told Ishaq Oloyode, JAMB registrar and his team that she could not account for N36 million she made in previous years before the abolition of scratch cards. During interrogation, Chieshe reportedly confessed that her housemaid connived with Joan Asen, a JAMB official, to "spiritually" (through a snake) steal the money from the vault in the account office. But Benjamin said the board is determined to unravel those behind fraudulent activities. "On the snake issue, the board maintain that there is no hiding place for any form of crime to thrive in the running of the board's activities," he said in a statement. "The board would deploy all available resources to
