Shaunae chasing Diamond League Title | 10th Year Seniors
Although Bahamian track and field sensation and Olympic gold medalist Shaunae Miller captured this season's ultimate prize in Rio last month, she's not done for the year just yet. There is still some unfinished business to tend to, in the form of an IAAF Diamond League Title race. Miller will compete in the Diamond league finale of the women's 400 on September 9, in Brussels, Belgium. She currently leads the way in league point standings with 30. Close competitors for the title include Jamaican Stephanie Ann McPherson and fellow Jamaican Novlene Williams-Mills. The Diamond Race winners of each discipline are awarded with $40,000 in prize money at the end of the season. Miller has won all three of her Diamond League races in the women's 400m this season. The IAAF Diamond League encompasses 32 individual event disciplines, with a points scoring 'Diamond race" which runs throughout the 14-meet series. Along with the prize money, winner of each Diamond race earns a wildcard entry into the
