Garland ISD Launches eSports Program
Garland ISD is currently the largest school district to have all of its high schools competing for a state champion esports title. In an effort to provide more Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) opportunities for students, Garland ISD has added esports clubs at all seven high schools, as well as the Gilbreath-Reed Career and Technical Center. Esports is electronic in nature, but just like its non-online counterpart, it involves organized competitive gameplay between teams.
