Eat Like An Italian: The Real Mediterranean Diet (What About The Carbs, The Olive Oil and The Gluten?)
Despite a diet laden with carbs, Italians were named "Healthiest in the World" by Bloomberg. Yet how do we rationalize these results with the pervasive dogma in the American media that carbs, especially in the form of wheat are unhealthy to the point that it is now fashionable in many circles not to eat grains at all? Not even the virtuous Mediterranean Diet can account for their health because many Italians don't stick to the rules. Books about the Mediterranean Diet try to make sense of the link between diet and health, yet gray areas remain that are swept under the rug.
