Terms of Employment: Consultant Reports to: Director of Corporate OutreachPosition Location: India To provide creative research for sustained pressure campaigns to push major corporations to eliminate cruel practices throughout global food supply chains and to strategize and execute such campaigns Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Research key details of major corporations, including corporate structure, history, animal welfare standards, leadership, social media handles, and affiliates Draft and post petitions and petition updates, collaborating with petition campaigners as necessary Facilitate video development for campaigns, including drafting video scripts, creating video concepts in collaboration with video editors, collaborating with voiceover actors, and facilitating video posting on YouTube, including drafting YouTube titles and text Draft letters to board members, shareholders, and other key stakeholders in targeted corporations Manage logistics of advertisement placement in newspapers, creation of mobile billboards, coordination of demonstration tours, and other creative tactics Coordinate with Communications Department on celebrity asks, drafting celebrity letters, and general campaign promotion Coordinate with Education Department to mobilize volunteers to take action on campaigns, including calls and texts to corporate decision makers and social media action Draft and post blogs related to campaigns and corporate outreach successes Develop websites related to campaigns and update sites per corporate successes Coordinate with Education Department to post Facebook ads for campaigns, including drafting language, working with designers on ad designs, and working with Legal Department to ensure compliance Position Requirements: Self-motivation, resourcefulness, and creative research skills Strong interpersonal skills and superior written and verbal communication skills Minimum of two years’ experience in campaigning, grassroots organizing, communications, public relations, issue advocacy, or related area Degree in a related field or equivalent experience Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs Willingness and ability to travel Ability to maintain confidentiality Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle Commitment to the objectives of the organization Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Mercy For Animals provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, pregnancy, genetic information, marital status, amnesty, or status as a covered veteran.
