Cinnamon Babkalach
These are no babka meises. Half a dozen per box. The Babkala™ is a product of my own invention. A genius hybrid between the rugala and babka, this muffin-size babkala offers a mouthful of crispiness with every bite. The dough is slightly less yeasty but definitely more buttery (though not dairy) than the babka dough. The thin layers of dough are smothered in a delicious cinnamon mixture, including real vanilla beans. Topped with my signature crispy steusel, this item is a winner. Bite in and you won’t know what hit you. You may want to freeze them immediately, or they will be gone by the time you count to ten.
