An apple a day...or three! Order me! Just in time for Rosh Hashanah, this apple babka is the perfect accompaniment to your holiday meal, and the absolute best way to eat the traditional apple. Don't believe me? Try it for yourself. I use a mix of granny smith and golden delicious apples - for a bit of tanginess and a whole lot of sweetness - vanilla beans, sugar, and of course, cinnamon. The dough is made with the freshest ingredients, and its yeasty inside and crisp exterior tastes like no other. The thin layers of dough, sprinkling of cinnamon sugar, and dollop of sweet and tangy apple filling are rolled into a tight log and topped with a crispy, buttery streusel. Perfect for your Rosh Hashanah meal, your morning coffee, served warm with a scoop of ice cream for dessert, or as a gift to a host! This babka lasts up to six months in the freezer and at least two days at room temperature. It can be refrigerated for up to one week, as well. At two and a quarter pounds, this loaf serves eight to ten. Due to the risk of spoilage, this product is not available for orders outside the NY - NJ - CT tri-state area. Please check the map to see if your address is in the 1-day shipping zone.
