it's okay to write me love letters and make me personalised playlists every week. normalize it.
Friendly reminder that;
1. not supporting the LGBTQIA+ community is homophobic.
2. thinking being gay is a sin is also homophobic.
3. not supporting blm is racist.
4. You’re allowed do whatever the hell you want with your body unless it is physically affecting/ hurting those around you.
5. all bodies are fine the way they are. You dont need them to be pretty to feel validated, you waking up and getting out of bed is enough.
6. science is real.
7. you are not allowed to have opinions on things that physically hurt those outside the womb.
8. not supporting Stop Asian Hate is racist.
9. Gay couples are more likely to raise a happy child because they truly want and have to fight for them.
10. kids are not for everyone.
11. mental illness is real.
12. not everyone believes in God.
13. you’re allowed to take a breather.
14. trans people are actually the gender they identify as, even science says it.
15. quit glorifying mental illness.

I just want to take a long drive to nowhere, who’s with me?

Hello stranger
Hello stranger, who are you? Are you the next for me to chase? Another short-lived mystery Another tempting human case Open up and let me in Show me each and every clue Until one day I have them all Which means one day, that I have you But before we carry on There is something you should know It takes one blink to make you mine And half a blink to I let you go Soon enough I’m moving on To be chasing someone new And you’ll have nothing left of me but Hello stranger, who are you?
i am asked about my favorite color.
i am seven
and my reply is
pink
because i am a girl
and pink
is a princess color.
i am asked about my favorite color.
i am ten
and i like
green
because a boy told me that pink
is lame and girly.
i am asked about my favorite color.
i am thirteen
and i tell them
purple
it is unique and spunky
like i want to be.
i am asked about my favorite color.
i am seventeen
and i just say
red
i do not say
it is bright and angry at the world
as i am
i cannot form the words to express
all of my frustrations
so i paint my lips with
rage.
i am asked about my favorite color.
i am twenty
and it’s pink
i remember the joy
of being a child
i reclaim the freedom
of femininity
because i cannot remember
what my shoulders felt like
before the depression
hung from them.
i am asked about my favorite color.
i am twenty-six
and my answer is
brown
it confuses most people
they don’t see it
they may think of dirt
and dust
and dead things
but it is coffee with friends
and the chocolate chip cookies
my mom used to make.
it is my hair
and my eyes
amber and gold
in the sun
and i love myself
again
