Okay so the transformer ask is out but what about a continuation of the Pirates of the Caribbean piece you did for me a while back? I think it would be a great read and it was such a brilliant and captivating start that I have been dieing for more since I first read it!!! Bonus points if by chance Kagome surprise Jack with her powers.

I apologize for the long wait, here is your request.

It had only been a few days, and Kagome was honestly surprised that he managed to keep out of the reach of the navy. Truly. He was manning a ship by himself, and basically blundering through it all to boot.

Kagome had found trousers that were probably meant for a cabin boy. The moment she made her discovery, she ripped the feminine fashion confines off and jumped into the far more breathable clothing. It was breath taking in how free she felt.

“Honestly, love. If you wanted out of the dress, you didn’t have to wear this… it simply does nothing for your beauty.” Jack smirked in her direction as she leaned against the wooden banister.

Rolling her eyes, Kagome scoffed. “Right. Is this where you offer me either a different dress or nothing instead?”

“Only if you’re willing.” seeing he wasn’t getting any response, he pouted and turned his gaze to the horizon. Lips pursing, he raised his compass, watching the needle spin as he attempted to focus on what he desired the most.

“What’s that?” the sudden question right next to him had him jumping, pulling away from the young woman that appeared so silently.

Turning from her wide eyes to the compass in his hand, he watched the needle continue to spin, bouncing back and forth between random directions as well as pointing towards the woman next to him. Looking back up at her eyes, he blinked when she tilted her head and raised a brow.

When he remained silent, her brows furrowed. “Well?”

Looking back down at his compass, it now bounced between a specific direction and the woman in question. With a sniff, he snapped it shut and turned away from her. “It’s a compass.”

Blue eyes narrowed, hands now sitting on her hips as she stared at him. He was familiar with this particular expression women wore, it was usually followed by a painful slap to the face. “I can see that. So either that compass is broken, which I highly doubt, or it’s different from normal compasses.”

“Clever girl.” narrowing his eyes on her raised brow, he tried to figure out the reason he couldn’t focus on what he needed.

When she realized she wasn’t going to get any more than that, she walked off with a huff back to the banister, only this time she had her back to him as she observed the distant horizon. Narrowing his own eyes, he pulled his compass back out and attempted to concentrate on the reason he was back in open waters. However, a certain figure bent at the waist was proving to be a bit of a distraction. With a low snarl, he snapped it shut and stuffed it away.

A sudden loud splash drew his attention back to where she was standing, wondering in slight worry if she had fallen overboard. No, still onboard and dry. Perhaps some fish were playing just below where she stood.

Though, oddly, she leaned in closer towards the water, as close as the banister allowed her. She was oddly on high alert at this point. Then all of a sudden she was rushing to the deck, grabbing a rope and securing it and tossing it over the side. Oh, had she found someone that had fallen overboard? He was about to ask what she was doing when she dove over the side.

Running to where the rope was secured, he searched over the banister, searching the waters for her and the possible person that was adrift. What he saw instead were creatures that all men of the sea were warned about. Mermaids. Sirens that sang many sailors and pirates to their doom by steering them towards rocky shores.

He was prepared to pull out his pistol and blade, more than ready to do battle, when he spotted Kagome being assisted by two as she tended to another. She was swiftly removing what appeared to be fishing nets cutting into the flesh of the mermaid she was attending to, the scraps were quickly tossed away with strong hatred from those that were carefully watching.

If that wasn’t enough to shock him, and he has seen much, than seeing Kagome’s hands begin to glow and heal the wounds away had him lowering his raised pistol. Just who, and what, was Kagome?

The wounds were quickly healed, the mermaid was eager to swim once again. All of them were smiling laughing, playing with their healed friend and even pulling Kagome into their games. If his slight fear of what mermaids meant to men of the sea, he would have been enjoying watching half naked… half women fooling around in the water. As it was, the ship was still sailing on.

“Have enough fun with your friends, love?” his call had all heads swinging up to him, fingers waving at the females below.

The mermaids hissed and scowled at him, drawing Kagome closer to them. One whispered into her ear, huffing when Kagome shook her head and replied too quietly for him to hear. They continued to scowl up at him, the one helping Kagome to the low hanging rope, her face twisting into something much darker the closer to the ship they got.

With a boost, Kagome reached the rope and began climbing up the side of the ship. Once secure, she waved the mermaids off with a cheerful wave. It was silent between them for a while, Jack not in the least concerned now that Kagome was back aboard.

“Go ahead, ask your questions.” she was wringing the water out of her hair, leaning against the banister behind her.

“I’m trying to figure out where to start.” he slid in closer to her. “Friends with mermaids? Glowing hands? Magical healing?”

“Some mermaids saved my life when a fool didn’t like the fact that I did not appreciate his advances and pushed me overboard. Dresses and corsets do not allow for easy swimming.” she removed the jacket and wrong the water out of it as well before hanging it over the banister to dry.

Jack instantly became distracted at the amount of skin that was now exposed to him, and so freely at that. The blue shirt she wore clung to her like a second skin. So instead of paying attention, he nodded his head and hummed to her words.

“…ands can glow.” finished with her task, she turned to face Jack, having now explained a condensed version of her story. The expression she had been expecting was not present, instead, his gaze was fixed on her chest. Expression becoming flat, she shook her head. “Pervert.”

Snagging the jacket, Kagome made her way back to the cabin where she found the clothes, perhaps she could find another set that would fit her. Otherwise, she might smack him overboard, and who would steer the ship then?

Even better. He has his own company called Stripey Pajamas Productions.

His dad is the character designer for Labyrinth and Dark Crystal and his mom made Yoda, as well as puppets for aforementioned movies. Not super shocking there, but nice, nonetheless.

That's Toby Froud, son of incredible artist, illustrator, and artistic director Brian Froud, who created works like these:

The man's a genius. Looks like his son is, too.

Toby is a great artist, so is Wendy Froud (Brian’s wife/Toby’s mother) - Wendy designed the gelflings of The Dark Crystal.

Hundreds of brass plaques with figures in high relief once covered the wooden pillars of the palace courtyard. Stranger Things fun.

So I have two girls 11 & 13, no I've never actually watch the show stranger things and they just started watching it not too long ago them selves but all I hear them talk about is Will this and Will that, are they going to find Will. And like any true mother should I torment them even though I've never watched a single episode of the show and I have no clue what's going on I know that this Will person is important so whenever they bring it up I torment them by saying "they'll never find Will, Will's dead, he's gone he's never coming back." and I just bust up after I leave the room because they're sitting there and they're yelling and they're crying and they're like "how can you say such mean things" but I just sit back and I'm like they don't even realize I have no clue who this Will person is. Lol. seriously like after 5 minutes of me leaving the room after discussing this will person they'll come charging into my room and be like "they're going to find him you're wrong!" and it's with such conviction you would think this is actually a person they actually know but from what I've heard them talk about he's only been in the show like 5-10 minutes tops so it's not even like they have a big deep connection to this character just the fact that it's a search for the character. I just find this whole situation funny as hell.

So I don't know if you get a lot of requests for this anymore but I swear to God your inuyasha series is the best thing ever and I know you said give you a year (I've given you 2 of me not bugging the hell out of you) all I'm asking for is something small even something like the return to the village with her new Entourage and maybe the birth. I mean literally I'm dying here this is like the best story I've ever read and I've been reading Inuyasha fanfiction since 2005 Please I'm begging.

People still ask. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the story. I wrote 13 novels in 3 years and burned myself out of the fandom. I don't even read Inu works anymore.

I want to finish because not finishing sucks furry nuts, but I don't know if I can. I may just write a summary of what would have been, because I'm not sure I can ever go back to it.

Sorry. I know that's not the answer you want, but it's all I've got to give right now.

I can totally understand burning yourself on this set fandom I myself did the same thing with Inuyasha, I had to take breaks from Reading those stories in particular and move on to a different fandom unfortunately Inuyasha always be the love of my life followed closely behind by Tony Stark and honestly I'm trying to open up to different fandoms (FMA, Firefly and Riddick to name a few) but I always find myself going back to Inuyasha. I'm sad to hear that this might be the end of the series actually but want to thank you for all the work you've done in this beautiful series it's a brilliant piece of work, with captivating character development suspenseful storytelling (and let's not forget some of the best bedroom scenes in the universe lol) your writing skills with this series bring you to the great names of legend like SplendentGoddess, Resmiranda, Sunset Miko, Kanna37, and many other great authors that dabble in this fandom. Once more thank you for everything you've done and know that you are beloved as one of the greatest writers.
