James Baldwin was an essayist, playwright, and novelist.

In 2016, a powerful documentary, “I am not your Negro”, was released about James Baldwin’s exploration of the Civil Rights movement through his own observations and personal connections with Civil Rights leaders Medgar Evers, Malcolm X and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 🇺🇸

Yeah. I was about to say. He’s that fast because he’s being paid by the pound, not by the hour. So he has to or else he won’t be able to make enough money to put food on the table.

Malcolm X explaining the reason why some Black Men Won’t Date Or Marry Black Women

It was admirable how articulate and composed Malcolm was in conversation. His viewpoints were unshakable and his responses to provocation demonstrated not only his interpersonal intelligence (detection of other’s emotions/ motives/ temperament/feelings) but also his intrapersonal intelligence (deep understanding of self) . If one could take home any message from his efforts, it should be his emphasis on practicality over principle. America was nowhere near ready for a black man of his stature.
