If one more Christian almond mom says my disablities are caused by the devil I am going to start biting.
Just because I ran into a non-catholic Christian today who told me "You are infested with the demons of Autism" and "All neurodivergent sickness is a result of the devil" and that's why I was "Falling for the evil deception of the catholic church."
One I don't have Autism, I have ADHD, and neither of those neurodivergences are caused by the demonic.
Second Jesus himself said that disablity is not caused by sin in the book of John.

You see this theme all throughout the book of Job. A person does not need to sin to be subject to suffering. Job had been sinless when God allowed the Devil to tempt him.
Suffering in a lot of ways is a sign of Favor from God because he's given that person bearing suffering a chance to show their fidelity to God even in their misery. And the suffering can be offered back to God to help others. Even tho it isn't always easy.
And the Catholic churches long time stance of empowering people with disabilities is one of the many reasons I love this faith and its Tradition.
It wasn't always 100% great with that. Just because it had some really shitty people in it sometimes. (I mean what religion hasn't?)
But it also had a lot of wonderful disabled saints and blessed.
And I can go on.
My disability is part of his design. He made this religion for people like me too. The Saints are proof of that. And I am so freaking sick of hearing the opposite.
