I was a wild li'l shorty, man, just like you. Runnin’ around with no shoes on when the moon was out. This one time… I run by this old… this old lady. I was runnin’, hollerin’… cuttin’ a fool, boy. This old lady, she stopped me. She said… “Running around, catching up all that light. In moonlight, black boys look blue. You blue. That’s what I gon’ call you. Blue.”

everyone always talks about zuko’s (admittedly perfect) character arc but no one ever talks about the slow-burn, three-season-long devolution of Azula from the “perfect child,” “dad’s favorite,” “badass in charge” who is given way too much to handle and is mature past her years to an insecure, neglected, hurting, unhinged child who desperately, in her last few minutes of clarity, just wants her mom

Just dropping by with another quick update, including my most recent painting I finished this weekend—the “photograph” taken by Francis Browne, when our main characters awkwardly pose for a picture.

It looks like the official release date for On the Edge of Daylight is April 18th! It will be available for Kindle and in print (paperback & hardcover).

So far I’ve sent out advanced reading copies to about 50+ people, including those who requested free printed copies of the book. Speaking of which, not everyone who initially contacted me has submitted their information. Feel free to either DM me or use the form on the website at edgeofdaylight.net (if you still want a copy that is). Also, if anyone else would like an advance copy in ebook format, please don’t hesitate to contact me, and I’ll send you the links! c:
