OMG YAY!

When you’re writing and can’t decide on a character’s appearance:

When you’re reading and they haven’t described the characters

when you’re reading and the author contradicts your already-imagined appearances too late so you must reprogram the whole thing

the holidays are coming up and a lot of americans are used to the family get-togethers that come with this time of year, but like. i’m begging y’all. skip it this year. you don’t need to be sharing food and air around a table with a dozen or more family members, putting yourself and them at risk. don’t bring your kids to family gatherings and put them at risk, too. just don’t go. i know, it’s absolutely more difficult this year after so many months of no contact, but we’ve had three consecutive days in the US of the highest number of new COVID cases reported, and people are still being hospitalized and dying, and if you care, really care, about your families and friends, you gotta see the big picture and understand that one year apart is better than a lifetime with one of them gone forever.

video chat them. bake and cook together virtually. send messages. make phone calls. do whatever you need to do to stay close emotionally and mentally, but physically, stay home.
