As I grow older, I understand why the Prophet (pbuh) said that whoever isn’t kind has no faith. Faith is kindness. If our faith doesn’t manifest itself through kindness, we’re doing something wrong. Our wounds thirst for kindness, our hearts yearn for it. Kindness. Even a small dose helps. Kindness. It’s what humanity needs most.

i have been with two types of men.

the first type kisses you. sometimes there is urgency in this kiss, but oftentimes there isn’t. they undress you thoughtlessly. they touch you, see you, feel you, but have nothing to say about your skin, your softness, the dip of your neck. they hold the curves of your hips but don’t kiss them. they brief over your body like it’s commonplace, something they see every day.

the second type makes you feel like you are the first naked woman they have ever seen in their lives. they marvel at you. they stop kissing just to marvel at you. and they tell you – oh, how they tell you. they tell you how beautiful you are, how sexy, how absolutely earth-shattering your presence is. they kiss every inch of your skin and take time with each one. when you stand up their eyes run over your body, every curve, every dip, and they put their hands on their heads in disbelief. they are grateful just to be able to touch you.

don’t settle for the first type of man. you deserve to be worshipped.

the whole point of religion is being highly aware that there is a higher power which by default should humble your postition as a creation on this earth so I don’t even understand how people can produce so much arrogance and superiority once they have decided to indulge in religious practices
