Me and Fiancé have a bond so strong it’s sometimes hard to believe love like we have still exist, I really love him with all my heart, only person who can make me cry and smile and laugh at the same time. This is my Step-dad, the only man I consider my dad. I met him in 1999, and he married my mom in July 2000. He’s checked my homework, given me advice, been a shoulder to cry on, and loved me unconditionally. To a little girl who’s biological father had done nothing but hurt her, he was like an angel.

Today he’s having surgery because 3 weeks ago he found out he had cancer. My mom started a gofundme for him, but still had to use the money for mortgage and some other bills to make the copay for the surgery.

if you are a young thing i have one piece of advice for you:

being enthusiastic and happy about things you love is more important than being apathetic and snide. you will go so much farther in life spending energy on and talking about something you love than wasting energy on only complaining about or making fun of something you don’t. 

don’t focus on mocking others for being genuinely excited about something. focus on the things and people you love.
