Yes there’s actually a trio of lesbians as well but I haven’t finalized their designs in my head yet. I keep flip flopping on how I want them to look so I haven’t drawn them out yet.

lol yeah when I designed him I wanted him to look like he didn’t fit into his role as prince. Hence why he was crazy spiky hair instead of proper smoothed back.

This is how the very first version of the comic looked:
I didn’t reformat it when it was on canvas. But after being picked up as an original I started formatting everything vertically.
Episode six was the first episode where I abandoned the page format. And tbh I kind of miss working in traditional page format because I feel like I was more creative. Sort of like in these pages here:
(All of the above pages are going to look different in the actual book)
There are definitely ways to be creative in vertical format as well but honestly, churning out as many panels as possible is what truly kills creativity lol.
When I’m tired and super behind and thinking ‘I have thirty more panels to draw that were due yesterday’ it’s way easier to just scroll down and draw another square rather than do something fun.
I’m still happy with what I’ve been able to accomplish in the webtoon schedule and I’m proud of the work I’ve done on CS with all those restrictions in place, but I’m excited for the pace to slow down again in the future so I have more time to experiment and create cool comic pages ;)

Harpy lol.
In castle swimmer I originally imagined kappa and siren with opposite personalities than what they ended up with lol but I like their current versions the best.

I wrote a part where mouse is afraid of bugs as a child but I’m not sure if he’ll keep that fear yet.
And I’m not sure yet if any of them have any specific fears other than obvious ones like losing each other. Brooder has some big ones but they are spoilery lol.
No idea about the voices yet either!
I really like Brooder, and I haven't even read him yet, I can't wait to meet the bird boys
