Haha when your trying to work out age differences on different planets for a story! Literally the shit we writers do to try and be accurate!

(This in more to show some of the behinde the scenes work writers do for your fics, please dont correct me or piss on my parade please, this took ages to figure out as it is!)

So in my fic 7 earth days is 3 krypton days. So through some shitty maths of 6,205 earthdays (seventeen years) divided by 0.3 (thats what im useing leave me alone!) is 2,068 so thats a 2,068 difference that needs to be added onto her number?

6,205+2,068=8,273 ÷ 365 =22.6

y/n is 17 on krytpton which it the evuivilante of 22 and a half on earth? I mean whether its right or wrong this is now what I'm useing. Its probably wrong... but its fanfiction! Who cares... she says whilst trying to work out fictional ages of characters that dont exsist 😅😅

This is why I take so long to fucking write!!

Okay but this. This is the research we put ourselves through that makes only receiving likes and not reblogs hurt so damn much. It takes a month to write something because we want it to be so accurate and good; blood, sweat, and tears, babe!

I’m proud of you for doing that math and research, there’s not such thing as taking too long to write a story. ♥️

Ok, so, hear me out. Remember this post?

So, maybe wig removal got a little rambunctious one day and ripped off a patch of his hair. If they are using glue and medical tape, that stuff could get tacky and create a firm hold; therefore, maybe he accidentally got a small Brazilian treatment on his head.

And maybe, just maybe, Henry looked at the bald patch and thought it made him look like a wanker (@hlkwrites​ did I use the word right here? Did I do it? LOL) and decided to buzz off the rest of his hair to make it look less noticeable? A buzzcut will also ensure all locks will grow back somewhat evenly if there was indeed a bald patch. 

He still has his sideburns peaking through his beanie. But notice how shorter and thinner they are when compared to a picture he posted weeks before the recent ones?

Now you might think maybe it’s just the hat that’s making it look flat here. But look at how plush his sideburns were here, for instance.

Filter out what you don't want to see and or consume and scroll along, and if you happen to come across content anyway, keep scrolling. A/N: I made this wedding moodboard for @emyearns on Monday for Valentine’s Day, and she and I started talking about how much we loved that it was an elopement and she suggested that they would tattoo rings instead of him wearing a band cause they were kids, they couldn’t afford it anyway. I tried my damnedest to get her to write it but she refused, she forced me to do it. First time I’ve written anything in close to a month, hope it doesn’t suck too bad.

Little edit because now it's over 2000 notes. And I don't want to complain, 2000 notes is... WOW. But still...

This is a little upsetting. Discouraging. I've seen many content creators speak up about how important reblogs are, so I wanted to join in...

These are the notes on my story Tease (the only story of mine to reach 1000 notes even remotely). As you can see, reblogs only make up 8% of the notes. And I know you can't force anyone to reblog your content, but compared to the hours, weeks, (depending on the story you're writing) even months it takes to write, the few seconds it takes to reblog are nothing, but their impact is immense.

Reblogging a creator's work is sharing it. If you're not comfortable letting other people know you enjoy smut, that's fine, I understand. It's still your blog and your decision. But if you're comfortable with sharing it, please do, if you enjoyed a story.

Seeing this gap in likes and reblogs is frustrating for content creators. For one, reblogs give us a wider reach, a chance to receive comments. Comments are a creator's payment, because we create otherwise for free. Fanfic is a free form of entertainment. Likes are good, don't get me wrong, I get excited over every single note I get, every single one is special to me, but reblogs mean so much more. It's not just "yeah I liked it" but "I liked it and I think you should see it too". It gives us validation for our work.

If you yourself are a writer, you know how hard it is to write sometimes. You stare at your doc with a plan or story in your mind, but you can't find the words for it. That is what writing is. It's not an easy hobby. It's time consuming and sometimes frustrating, but at the end of the day, rewarding. We're giving you stuff to read for free, we only ask for one thing in return, validation.

Please give us writers validation. Because it's motivating us to create more, and rewarding us for things we have already created.

Without validation, we're less motivated to create and share content, because we too can be insecure. We can think to ourselves "who will care if i post this?" about content we spent a lot of time creating.

So please give us the validation. Fanfic is free on the receiving end, but not on the creating end. Giving us validation in form of reblogs will cost you nothing, but it means everything to us.
