Disabled people needing money!
On Monday I found out that there are no extension programs for the rental assistance I was receiving for a year! I’m disabled (autism & bipolar & ocd being the most major) and so is he (diagnosis pending but he has severe anxiety about just about everything) We’re both nonbinary.
I only get $764 a month in SSI and he currently has no income. My rent is $1,092! My mom said she will help pay for half the rent for 3 months (Oct., Nov., Dec.) until I figure out what can be done, which is most likely going to be moving. But that still leaves me with only $172 to buy food for two people for a whole month (one of those people is me, on a diet so I can lose enough weight that my HMO & medicaid will cover a breast reduction that I severely need because of irreparable spinal damage. Eating healthy is super expensive in my area.)
My datemate is trying to get a job while also working on getting his GED, and there aren’t many options for someone without a GED that won’t severely impact his mental health. I don’t want him to have to get a job in all honesty, because I don’t want him to be completely miserable, but that’s what he’s gotta do for a little while at least. :( I’m hoping to get enough in donations that he only has to work part time.
Soooo yes. Please, we only need like $150 more a month to be able to buy groceries for a whole month.
My paypal is schwartzsama @ hotmail.com (yes, I made that email when I was 17)
Any and all donations would be appreciated! And a signal boost would also be appreciated as well, I’d like for this to receive a wider audience.
Shit I forgot about subtracting the cost of internet and electric. I haven’t canceled the cable yet but i think the internet will be $70ish? And electric is gonna be in the $50s or $40s range until it cools off and will be in the $25 range. That actually leaves me with less than $100. That leaves me with $50 a month for groceries, which is impossible because that is a week’s worth of groceries At least until my datemate gets a job.
