Hi everyone, we have some new updates to share about little Maxie. She had been doing really good for the last few months. She had regular blood tests that were reassuring, but she started throwing up randomly again, she was seen by her vet & had yet another blood test and an ultrasound done.

The doctor diagnosed her with an inflammatory disease. She needs surgery ASAP.

The surgery needed has two component, we need to do remove a polyp in her intestine that is causing the vomiting and we also need to do a biopsy to know what the inflammatory disease is. The vet says there's a 50/50 chance that it's either cancer or feline inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). It is absolutely essential that she has this surgery done to give her the proper treatments.

This operation requires a specialized surgeon, and thus can only be done at the sole veterinary hospital in our town. We're waiting for a more detailed estimate, but the vet has told us that it will be around 5 000$. As you can imagine we do not have that kind of money ready, the regular visits to the vet, the medications and special food Max needs to be on are already using up every thing we have (including any credit we have on credit cards), so we really really need help to be able to get Max all that she needs. I won't be increasing the fundraiser goal since we're still so far from the original goal, but please continue to share this fundraiser page as much as possible, and donate if you're able to.

Max means everything to us and she's such a happy, loving, playful cat, she still has a lot of life in her, she just needs some help. Thank you <3
