The iconic & controversial album includes hits such as Summertime Sadness, Blue Jeans and Video Games. It sold over 7 million copies worldwide and spent more than 400 weeks on the Billboard 200 chart. Lana’s lyrics, musical sound and videos were heavily criticized by the media and polarized critics. Yet it changed pop music starting a “Sad girl trend.” Her songs were stories about love, drugs, heartache and longing rather than generic pop hits. It introduced a new sound which was heavily influenced by the 1950’s & 1960’s. Influencing artists like Lorde, Billie Eillish, Tove Lo, Miley Cyrus and more.
