there has been more moments than i can count in the past seven months where i felt destroyed by all the death and carnage i've seen due to the colonialism and imperialism of the world. but there was something in particular about hind's death that made me think the world would stop turning bc how could anything continue given how gruesome and inhumane her death was? and yet, the world did not stop. and i thought we were once again left to remember her story only in our minds as she became another number, as her murderers went on killing unpunished, and as her mother grieved with rage when all she wanted was to keep her daughter warm and as safe as she could manage in this man-made hell on earth.

however, hind, a girl who only got to experience her kindergarten graduation, is now being immortalized in universities across the nation. her story did resonate to the masses and we will not let her be forgotten nor forgive those complicit in her death. real justice would be having hind alive, but these students are showing that they will stop the world and burn the status quo it upholds to the ground if it means her people can truly be liberated.

they want us to criticize and attack college students as "uneducated" and being radicalized by "outside agitators" and yet mainstream media pundits are saying shit like this while being owned by billionaires. like i said, hind was never a world-stopping reporting story for these western journalists; they only had to do the research now and even then they got it wrong bc they called her a woman. girls are barely allowed to be girls in general but palestinian girls are being killed and labeled as women in death as another form of dehumanization. she will never get to experience womanhood they claim she had bc media propaganda like this fueled her killers.

Just a reminder for people who may not know, in light of protestors at UCLA being shot in the face with rubber bullets— rubber bullets are not bullets made of rubber. They are metal bullets encased in rubber.

Despite being called “non-lethal” or sometimes “less lethal”, they are well known to cause death and permanent disability.

No one is discrediting the student protests. I myself am a student who is partaking in largely student-coordinated protests, drives, campaigns… but I also understand that we are largely missing the point if coverage of these protests overshadows what they are actually protesting for—the atrocities committed on Palestinians every single day. As the western buzz around this genocide gets more and more coverage, the coverage of the genocide itself sharply declines. It’s true and I see it every single day. Things are not being reported with the precision and diligence they should be.

Btw as all that is happening, Biden coincidentally happens to sign off 26 BILLION DOLLARS to Israel. The Washington Post broke it like 12 hours ago, but I had to wade through several articles to learn that the president of the US has given Israel his blessing to continue brutally massacring Palestinians.

It continues to be demonstrated with each saintly western figure people try to glorify at the expense of Palestinians: the buzz around this genocide is overshadowing the genocide itself. And I don’t find it a coincidence that this was done while everyone was outraged by all that’s been happening with the student protests. I don’t think it’s happenstance how a big portion of mainstream media has gleefully latched onto this.

Every time there is a distraction, you can be certain both Israel and the US are upping their murderous agenda somehow.

Israel attacked Iran first!!! Israel continues to attack Iran unprovoked!!!!!!!
