the “peeta was here forty five minutes ago begging me to save your life” line ALWAYS fucks me up bc like after hearing the news of the 75th hunger games’ participants being previous years victors katniss obviously and rightfully has a mental breakdown lasting almost an hour over going back to the hunger games arena and having to survive and fight to death AGAIN when her last time in the area gave her severe trauma and nightmares and this isnt me saying that she was wrong/selfish for this but peeta!! PEETA doesnt even miss a beat after hearing the announcement and straight up runs to haymitch to tell him to save katniss like his first thought isnt even about his own self or about the prospect of going back to the place which game him trauma and nightmares too its KATNISS and how he is going to have her come back ALIVE from the arena at any costs so he just went straight to haymitch to devise a plan about saving her he literally loved her SO MUCH and was go GOOD im-
