I'm Angie Wang. I draw, I teach, I run Comic Arts Los Angeles, I won a James Beard Award.

My huge, huge, long comic for Eater on my eight-year search for water boiled fish in the United States is up on their site right now. I’m SO super proud to present it to you all--this one goes out to my Chinese/Taiwanese-American folks who still miss the food they had in their country of origin. You can read the whole thing on their website: https://www.eater.com/2018/7/11/17537884/shui-zhu-yu-fish-sichuan-boiled-story

Snake loves the analemma.

Some of my editorial work for the past few months! A big thank you to my ADs!

A room you can come back to.

Some of my editorial work from this year. Thank you to lovely ADs Len Small, James Datz, Alexandra Zsigmond, Ben De La Cruz, Nathan Huang, Kathleen Marie, and Matt Dorfman--only some of the great ADs I worked with this year! Thanks for putting up with this grab bag of techniques.

I've been playing a lot of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and thinking about cute cafes that serve brunch all day.

A quick pic of our Comic Arts LA planning sessions at Jen & Jake's house. :3 So proud to be on a team with these guys.

If you don't already know about Comic Arts LA (CALA), it's a convention for independent comics artists to show and sell their minicomics, zines, and graphic novels, as well as to engage with attendees. Our inaugural year we felt such an outpouring of positivity and enthusiasm from attendees and exhibitors in the Los Angeles area that we decided CALA should be two days this year.

There are over 70 exhibitors from all over the U.S. and Mexico and Canada, as well as 8 exciting panels, to be unveiled soon. Our special guests this year are Noelle Stevenson and Jaime Hernandez, and you won't want to miss their talks.

WHAT: Independent comics convention featuring 70+ amazing cartoonists WHEN: December 5th & 6th, from 10 AM to 5 PM WHERE: Think Tank Gallery, 939 Maple Ave, Los Angeles, CA HOW MUCH: Free admission! Bring your friends! Bring EVERYONE. PARKING: There are paid parking garages in the area and street parking if you get lucky.

Visit our website for more info!

I’ll have a paper zine with this and Inventory available at my upcoming solo show at Secret Headquarters on November 6th! If you’re in LA, you should come say hi. <3

I did this illustration for the cover of Criterion's Lady Snowblood collection (as well as an insert for the inside, hu hu). Thanks a ton to my wonderful AD Eric Skillman!

Oh, I did this a couple years ago for Mould Map and never posted it! Enjoy??????

Here are some of the editorial illustrations I've done in the last few months with a couple of personal illos mixed in! For this batch, thanks to ADs Len Small, Deanna Donegan, Erich Nagler, Matt Dorfman, Aviva Michaelov, and Martin Salazar. Thanks also to all the wonderful ADs I've worked with in the past year!
