Listen, maybe I can’t change the world, but I can pass eggs over the fence to my neighbor to save them a few dollars. I can cross the street and fix another neighbor’s cabinets. I can send my kid to the house next door with a can of tomato sauce they need and they’ll come back with a box of cocoa powder they weren’t going to use. We can leave our old furniture at the curb and one of us will drive by and pick it up to fix and sell or keep. I’ll plant a garden since I have the space and time and I’ll share what I can and I’ll get calls from someone else asking if I can use a crate of oranges.

I may not be able to change the world but I can do something

*through gritted teeth* you are not a child taking a test with the purpose of getting the highest score, you are an adult trying new things and finding ways to enjoy your life, make mistakes, be a beginner, be mediocre, be where you need to be, be unlikeable, just. be.

my liege you cannot trust this buffoon. he doesn’t even begin every other sentence with “my liege.” he‘ll never whisper in your ear the way i do it, my liege. sire. your fuckableness

My friends laugh at me but like, my actual dream meet cute is meeting a femme in Ikea who is like “Oh no, I want to buy all this furniture but I don’t know how to build it” and I get to (butchly) say “Oh I’ll come build it for you, I love building Ikea furniture” and then we go back to hers and she drinks wine while watching me build Ikea furniture with my set of 30 interchangeable screwdrivers and also she shows me her cat

anon i'm a little in love with you and i want this for you so bad

disabled people deserve more than the bare minimum to live tbh. and i don't mean in the "oh we have extra costs that makes being disabled more expensive" - which is true, but i'm counting those in the budget to live. disabled people also deserve enough money to buy treats, nice clothes, fund their hobbies, take a trip away, and so on. being disabled shouldn't force you into a life of frugality and poverty

I’ve seen some people respond to governments restricting trans affirming care for autistic people with statements like “autistic people have higher IQs” and “I’m autistic and I have a biology degree” and I’d just like to say that autistic trans people with low IQs and no degrees also deserve to medically transition should they choose to do so.

every day on 2012 tumblr there would be a new post that was like. gay people... are meat. straight people... are vegetables. bisexual people.... are beyond beef. asexual people... eat Dirt.
