I feel like a good chunk of this fandom missed the point of Josh’s post.
He came out with a purpose: to make himself more visible to other queer people so maybe they don’t feel alone, to make a statement about the anti lgbtq+ legislation in Tennessee and this country at large, and to boost lgbtq+ organizations that offer help and support to the community.
Instead of offering support and love and boosting his message, some of y’all have made it about YOU. YOUR feelings. How YOU don’t have a chance (you never did anyway) and how YOU don’t find him attractive anymore. Comparing it to a breakup?! Reducing his 8 year relationship to sex?! It’s so very clear to me that some of y’all don’t see him as a person. It’s sad and infuriating. You were never a fan.
