Vulcan Habitat

don't tell me you've got a feeling (To be upfront, I like Spuhura. Not in the intense way of a ship. I just happen to like them as a couple. )

sometimes when i get a bit of distance from TOS, i catch myself wondering how a show that corny ended up inspiring a thousand-episode-long franchise and totally reshaping the genre for the next fifty years… then i rewatch and i’m like oh of course. it’s literally spock

Been watching TNG my entire life, and I can never remember Tomalak’s name immediately when I ask my brain for it. Instead my brain provides me with “Big Shouldered Dickhead”, and then gives me Tomalak about three minutes later.

The late Andreas Katsulas. Also G'Kar in Babylon 5. He should have been in “Nemesis” to give it a TNG connection. Him coming to the Enterprise Es rescue instead of Donatra would have been interesting.

Jhgdsljhg Currently imagining a documentary made by Vulcans (firmly believe Vulcans make documentaries I will die on this hill) and they decide to make one on marine animals on earth and-

The narrator/person who gets close to the animal to point out characteristics keeps doing the Vulcan equivalent “fuck this I’m out I don’t get paid enough for this” every time one of the animals makes a startling movement

(They’ve had about 4 narrators/hosts by now)

The camera crew keep swearing they’re unaffected and their emotions are under control but when you review the footage it’s obvious the cameras were shaking while filming

The ones who can get close are like ankle deep in water looking so defeated while keeping their face blank, like holy shit they don’t want to be here

(Normally it’s better to me to think about people who genuinely love their work because there’s something so great about their joy and excitement, but “documentary crew clearly hating what they’re documenting” is so funny to me)

Love the idea of vulcans having a fascination for earth marine life, but also being ‘totally not afraid at all’

I love the Vulcans (a fictional alien species that Star Trek created) because they are pacifists (avoid war at all costs), learn to control their emotions, value logic, and celebrate diversity (infinite diversity in infinite combinations). I think the world would be a better place if everyone were more like Vulcans.
