Check out this quirky little display of objects in an elevator shaft in Tribeca. Museum, as it is called, was founded by Josh Safdie, Ben Safdie, and Alex Kalman (son of Maira). Objects, from the everyday to more artistic artifacts, from counterfeited cash to rocks from Mars, abound and you can get more information about each one by reading a pamphlet or calling an 800 number. A refreshingly unusual way to encounter art and the history of objects!

"Suddenly one encounters an endless staircase of rough concrete and, struck by contrasting sensations, one feels obliged to climb up it. Paradoxically, the house is so beautiful one gets a nagging feeling there’s something wrong with it."
