You and your husband had a routine at night. First shared dinner on the couch and some Netflix. Then separate showers, but shared brushing off your teeth. And then you both crawl back into your little corners of the house and do the things introverts do when they are alone. Which in your case was catching up with all your favourite Youtubers while doing relaxing yoga stretches. And in your husband’s case was music, be it write it, listen to it or make it.
And then one, sometimes two, hours later you meet in bed again, lying next to each other and looking through your phones and sharing perfect silence.

Tonight it was your turn to give up first. You place down your turned off phone on the nightstand and move to face your husband. You sigh happily and close your eyes. He is already looking into his phone again, features glowing blue from the display while his back is getting warmed up by your body.
