“Nothing ever ends poetically. It ends and we turn it into poetry. All that blood was never once beautiful. It was always just red.”
— Kait Rokowski

“All the bright, precious things fade so fast. And they don’t come back.”
— F. Scott Fitzgerald; The Great Gatsby (via quotexcerpts)
in another universe, we walk past each other in the street and that’s it because in that universe you were just a pretty face walking by, in that universe, you didn’t steal the heart of my chest, in that universe we were just parallel lines.
I dream of us all the time
I can see what we’ll do together
Like lazy mornings when we don’t want to get out of bed
I’ll be half awake, but it won’t matter
I could be looking like roadkill, but you’d still love me
I would try to convince you that it would be better to sleep in a little longer
I would beg you not to leave, and maybe you won’t
I could see us going shopping together and finally doing what we always wanted to do
Maybe you will finally win and pay for food
And we’ll laugh and talk about our day and what our dreams are
We’ll pick out the worst outfits and try them on
But most importantly, I would just love you.
I don’t have the right words, and I never will
All I can do is just try to describe the indescribable feeling
It’s like the feeling when the sun peaks out on a rainy day
Or even the sound or hard rain while you’re still inside
It’s like the feeling of a hot shower on a cold day, or a soft blanket just surrounding you
It’s the feeling of complete acceptance
The feeling that no matter what you do, they’ll never leave
And that my friend is the best feeling ever

just because you’ve had a bad day, doesn’t mean it’s a bad life - the sun will rise again tomorrow, and you can try again as well
