S U N ( D A E ) D A Y - S U B M I S S I O N S Combing through Alexis Vasilikos’s whopping submission of 180 images it becomes apparent that he could be many different photographers. Unlike some kind of photographic Truman Capote, Alexis isn’t any one thing at any one time, instead he compiles his work into series of hundreds of seemingly random images with ambiguous titles like Welcome to the Infinite and Existential Soup. What is clear is that his work is incredibly effective, elevating the commonplace and contrasting it with the personal, Alexis offers a pleasing visual feast in some disguised and disjointed narrative.
