Dear Education Systems of Today, You are a dimension made up of test scores. You are competing with each other trying to get to the top to be superior schools with superior test scores. This is all you care about now because you want to look good. You want your pay check, you don’t give a damn if the next generation is made up of robots. A student could do well or average all year with home work, assignments, quizzes, etc. and not pass the final exam and then they’re screwed because they can’t move on. They have to redo everything they already did well on. This is such an outrage to me. So much pressure is put on students over testing. Why are tests defining us? Why are tests determining our entire future? We’re just teenagers trying to figure out how the world works, why we’re here, and who we are. I am sick of merely being a statistic that either weighs down or brings up my school’s reputation. You are brain washing young people to have an unhealthy mentality of themselves and other people. The idea that only the smartest will have it good in life. If you can’t get over your anxiety about this test, that let me remind you determines whether you succeed in life or not, and if you can’t do well on it then you will fail and you will always be a failure. This is the message. This is where social ranks begin. By high school age we learn rather quickly how it goes. That life will only come easy for the gifted ones with prefect GPA’s and SAT’s and that the ones who struggle will always struggle and will always be at the bottom. We are not stupid, stop sugar coating it. And oh my God, stop trying to tell us who we are, it’s not your freaking place. STOP creating a bunch of test takers and create learners. Young people have never been against learning. Young people are curious, young people want to know more, it’s in our nature. It’s the system that’s screwed, not us. So don’t be shocked when my generation grows up to be ruthless, because it will be your fault. Truly, just another one of your statistics

my boyfriend and I have never met. we haven't even skype. I have seen pictures of him and only heard his voice once. he was ways scared to expose himself to me because he always thought I was gonna hate him for who he was. my boyfriend is a huge pervert and sick minded, no filter kinda dude. I never thought I would have fallen for someone like him. My heart means everything to him. Right now, I don't get to hear anything from him till 2017 which sucks because of military 😭

Attention Long Distance Lovers!

I just wanted to mention that there’s this website, rabb.it, in which you can video chat with someone while syncing a movie, tv show, videos etc. via Youtube, Netflix, Hulu etc. 

The fiance and I tried it out for the first time today because he’d just gotten out of wisdom tooth surgery so he couldn’t talk much and we both wanted to watch last nights episode of The Walking Dead so it was PERFECT. Being that we love watching tv shows/movies, I’m so happy to have come across a website providing a way to do it with a long distance SO. I know it can be hard to find ways to do things together when you and a loved one are apart, so I hope this post is useful to some of you!

I finally finished my “Open When” letters and mini packages for my fiance who’s currently overseas! Between work and college it took me a little over a month to get them all put together, but I’m so happy I finally got them done–I ended up with quite a few, and I really think he’s going to be surprised and happy when he gets them!
