Victor Franko Died For Your Sins is usually a blog about music, but sometimes it's also about girls, cars, movies, art and/or Neo-Bakuninian Socio-Economic Theory. So, its got that going for it, which is nice.
Victor Franko, on the other hand, was a character played by John Cassavetes in the 1967 film The Dirty Dozen. He dies... sorry to spoil the ending for you.

The Time Has Come For Us to Say Sayonara.

Victor Franko Died For Your Sins is going on indefinite hiatus.

Writing and researching VFDFYS has been a hugely time intensive activity and I think it’s high time I directed that energy at some different creative pursuits.

I will still, on occasion, be posting shit on my other tumblr blog, You Said Minkey... but, really, I want to try some new things in 2017.  I’ll keep you posted if I come up with anything worth sharing.

Have a great 2017!

Artist: The Moaners Track: When We’re Dead and Gone Album: Blackwing Yalobusha Label: Yep Roc Records Year: 2007

When we’re dead and gone... well I hate to break it to you, but nothing.  Three or four generations and you’re probably totally forgotten.  500 year and any trace of you or anything your created is gone too.  And who will care about about any of this in a thousand years?  Or ten thousand?  Some may feel that this makes everything pointless, but I choose to believe that it makes everything of equal value.

The Dungavenhooter is a Fearsome Critter that can be found from Maine to Michigan. The creature is shaped much like a alligator, however it has no mouth. Its legs are short, its tail is powerful, and its nostrils are abnormally large and used to inhale its prey. It hides itself behind bushes with “Satanic cunning” and once it spots its prey, it will move out from its cover and knock its prey down and pound it into the ground until it becomes a gas, at which time it will be inhaled. The Dungavenhooter’s favorite foods are humans that have ingested copious amounts of rum.
