True story: When he was at collage one of his lecturers took him to a bar, bought him a beer and said, I don’t think you’ve got what it takes to make it in this industry. Which (while being wrong) is a very nice way to do that. Years later Sandler was out with friends celebrating the success of some film he’d just made and he happened to bump into that lecturer. You could forgive him if he took that opportunity to get revenge and make a big show about how wrong he had been... but he didn’t. He called the lecturer over, put his arm around him and tells his friends “This guy is the only lecturer who ever bought me a beer.”

Okay also I’ve been driving electric cars long enough now to be really emphatic that the fact that they’re not all automatically built with solar panels in the roofs is a scandal.
And somehow almost every time I tell anyone this they roll their eyes and attempt to explain to me that this would not create a perpetual motion machine because of the limitations of the area relative to the power draw of the motor, which is incredibly annoying because that’s not the point.
Yes it’s possible that driving in the sunshine with a solar collector dripping into the battery would net you a little more mileage on that trip before needing recharge, but the usefulness of a solar-topped electric car is that if you drive it someplace–say, to work–and leave it outside in the sun all day, you’ll definitely have more range available by the time you’re ready to head home.
Also if you fuck up your calculations because of the inefficiency induced by cold weather or something and get yourself stranded without anywhere to charge, like halfway up a mountain or, more likely, six miles from home, you can call for rescue or walk away, come back later, and it’ll be able to move again.
This is important because unlike running out of gas you can’t really go get some electricity.

The issue with solar charging cars is you get very little and you need quite a lot. However of you make a very small car and put a very efficient solar panel on the roof...

wanna underline that it was Billy Zane doing the looking out for his co-star. James Cameron very famously directed Kate Winslet in a way that left her covered in bruises and gave her double pneumonia.

Film is a collaboration, and the vast majority of the people who make the magic happen will never be seen, heard or known.
So it's really fucking spectacular to see Mr Zane acknowledge the humanity of his coworkers and the collaborative nature of the art they made together.

ok so this is The Court Jester with Danny Kaye and it is the best fucking movie i swear. It’s a comedy musical robin hood parody thing about an incompetent moron and his extremely competent ass-kicking girlfriend taking down a tyrannical king and restoring the throne to the rightful heir
-the rightful heir is a baby and they can tell it’s the right baby because of a giant birthmark on his asscheek
-the main character’s only talent is singing and the rest of the pseudo robin-hood group just kinda tolerate him because he repeatedly fucks up
-he gets hypnotized into believing he is this amazing swashbuckling sword fighting hero along the lines of Wesley from the Princess Bride and ends up fighting the villain while snapping in and out of hypnosis
-the vessel with the pestle has the pellet with the poison, the chalice with the palace has the brew that is true “what”
-he stumbles his way through the entire plot and never knows what the hell is going on
-Danny Kaye is the funniest motherfucker you’ve never heard of
-seriously go watch it you wan’t regret it
