Dazai, seventeen, shaking Odasaku, crying and throwing up because Chuuya held his hand again and his skin burns and his hands feel tingly and his heart is beating too fast and oh my god is he allergic to Chuuya? Is he dying? Ango stop laughing and help me!

Chuuya, seventeen, screaming and crying to Kouyou after having his nth dream where he's a prince and Dazai is his princess and fucking hell it's black magic isn't it? Or was he cursed by some evil sorcerer? Ane san do something!

No you're so right while Odasaku and Kouyou had to deal with each of them, Hirotsu definitely had to deal with them both.

Hirotsu doing the laundry:

Dazai: NO DON'T WASH THAT COAT CHUUYA FELL ASLEEP ON THAT COAT ONCE

Hirotsu: Dazai kun please that was 3 months ago. The coat smells like rats ass 😭

Hirotsu making tea:

Chuuya: can you make me warm ginger tea I have fever

Hirotsu: fever?

Chuuya: Dazai sniffed my hair and said I smell nice for a dog and now I feel dizzy and warm. I bet that bastard transferred his weird germs to me or something.

Hirotsu: I- 😭😭?

Tbh author should stop being a coward and give us how Dazai's continue uninterrupted suicide mentions effect Atsushi's already unstable mental state

Atsushi would ever be suicidal. Self-sacrificial? Absolutely. But suicidal? No. I don't think even Dazai could affect him in this way. I mean, he grew up with a man, a father figure, who kept telling him all the time that he's better off dead. That everyone is better off if he's dead. But Atsushi violently rejects that. His motto is "What's better than being alive?" He's "the boy who just wants to live". All his life, Atsushi has been working to earn the right to live. That has been his motivation for the entire series. I doubt he'd give up.

Ah but like‚ I totally agree with this!!! Sorry if the wording of the post was misleading but I do believe Atsushi wouldn't easily loose his will to live, that's literally //all// his character is about– he constantly runs after a validation for his life because he deeply, truly wants to live. Pretty much all of Atsushi's actions are motivated by it, killing Shibusawa and saving Kyouka and on and on. What I meant to say was more of a “I think Dazai's suicidal tendencies would mess up with Atsushi's mood given he's already greatly effected by stress and insecurities and unconsciously, subtly upset him (like they would with pretty much anyone, but amplified by Atsushi's already vulnerable mental state)”, but I don't think Atsushi would ever be suicidal because... You said it, his will to live is at the core of his character.

I'm sorry for misunderstanding too! And for thinking you could possibly have an incorrect take on bsd when I know that you're literally always on point :)

Now that I understand correctly, I am reminded of that wan episode with the fireworks.

"I'd like to go out just as beautifully," Dazai says, and Atsushi assumes it's a joke.

"I'd rather if you didn't go," he answers, but Dazai isn't laughing with him. Atsushi's smile freezes on his lips as he realises that Dazai meant it. And it makes him sad. "Please don't say that. Not even as a joke." Even Kyouka shoots him a concerned look when she sees how upset he is.

I feel like Atsushi hates the suicide mentions, because it makes him worried. He's pulled him out of the river several times and he can't help but think about what would happen if he wasn't there. But also, as someone who really wants to live, I think it's jarring to him that there is someone who just doesn't. He fights so hard to live and there's someone who would throw it away easily.

if you ever find yourself attracted to dazai let me just remind you the guy ate a whole bag of dog treats of his own volition. is this your man? is this the one you want to fuck? are you sure.

@akutathotwa (admin of @awkward-kyouka) shared this with me, and I thought it was awesome!

I used to do taekwondo, and this was (if I recall right) a tornado kick. You can watch it being used in a taekwondo setting for sparring and for board breaking. I did this kick for my board breaking part of my exam that was 3 years ago or something. It wasn’t nearly as cool as any of these videos.

I just found the video of me doing this, and I haven’t cringed this hard in so long. Especially considering my current physical shape. Hahaha…
