I like this comparison because it captures the torturous monotony and the bleakness of being physically disabled and unemployable/unable to return to school/etc. it does fucking suck actually
most people also don't understand how long-term disability is. when they get sick, they're sick for like a week or so, so they think about spending a week at home.
