Keepsake

This blog doesn't have a theme. It is a catch-all personal blog for whatever catches my fancy. I'm cis: she/her/hers. I am a feminist, a nerd, and a writer.

One of my favorite tropes is character with a nasty toxic personality who tries very hard to do the right thing anyway

I like my protagonists sad, tired, bitter, fully convinced they will never get the recognition they deserve, but they still gotta get up in the morning and be a good person

i know i am in my twenties but respectfully nobody i went to high school with should be getting married. it stresses me out. we r only twelve yrs old

I’m 31 but this still applies

My sister got married when she was 23! That’s absolutely ridiculous to me. She’s 30 now, and a mother of two, and that should be illegal.

@neil-gaiman did that actually happen to you? Pretty funny nevertheless

It did. Although it was in the advanced readers copy of Neverwhere, so we caught it before it went out to the public. Universal Find and Replace is never your friend.

It’s called ‘being able to see the corpse’

So if I put you in an L-shaped swimming pool, and you knew there was a corpse around the corner, you'd be fine?

loving the implication that I'm a little animal and you're a scientist putting me into various bodies of water to test my corpse:water ratio tolerance

Hey! In case it's something you need to hear: self publishing is perfectly valid both as first choice for your book and as a backup choice if trad pub doesn't work out. Both routes are just fine. Anyone who characterizes self-pub as lesser is, well, out of touch. Underground, self-made, passion project art has... literally always been cool.
