(Updated March 31,2020) please take your time to read Hi, I’m Danneil John Flores (22 years Old) and I’m asking some donations for my sister’s condition (Sharmaine Ann Flores) since me and my parents are incapable of supporting her right now and most of my savings are all dried out now. Both of my parents does not have a stable Job, my father is just a pedicab driver and my mother is a housewife. I had a job way back a year ago. I created multiple accounts because I don’t have a big amount of followers here, I go to explore and spam messages on blogs I see on it, I can only send 10 asks per hour and sometimes the blogs i used gets suspended. Update: February 2020 Sorry for the delay but there was so much that happened in February 2020, My father got hospitalized due to high blood pressure and later on my sister got a unexpected signs of having a stroke due to her heart condition then she got hospitalized for 5 days because the doctor needs to observe her condition, the doctors change some of her medicines and we we’re getting another follow up check up soon, My hands are full since i’m also finding a job and luckily a friend of mine offered me a job so I don’t have much time to update this blog and get it spread everywhere Blog Update: The acc that i use for doing this post was banned, i can’t do anything for it so i’m making this new one.

Cities and government agencies HATE bad press. This story that was told to me by the journalist that covered this, and he showed us the piece:

There was a traffic light that was set up on the far side of an overpass, but it was improperly hung so you couldn’t see the light until it was too late. There were accidents there EVERY SINGLE DAY and calls to the city did NOTHING.

Someone had the idea to call the local news station and this dude went out to see. As he was interviewing someone, there was a wreck.

Guess what happened after that piece aired?

Suddenly the city had the time to lower the traffic light and the accidents stopped.

Journalists get a bad rep, and while big stations like Fox deserve it, I think more thought should be given to who you’re actually shitting on when you say “I hate journalists.” Because we’re overworked, underpaid, constantly shit on, but we still do the job because we want to help people. All professional, prestigious journalists that I’ve met hate the government and will do whatever they can to get the information and change that’s needed. Being a journalist is a dangerous profession: at every professional convention I’ve been at there’s a fund for the families of journalists that have been killed (there’s a lot!) and a long memoriam roll.

Hey cats, so my last post lost traction so here goes :) this is me and my girlfriend, a bi Latina & myself, an Apache & Latino Two Spirit man (or trans man if you’re more in the know with that term), hola!

And we just moved from a small and unaccepting town to a lovely larger metropolitan area, while it is great to be in a bigger city there haven’t been any rent programs or any sort of relief for major economic concerns. We both hustled and got jobs within 2 weeks of moving here but we won’t have start dates until the end of the month, the corona pandemic has greatly affected the service industries that we both work in. We have total expenses of: $500 needed for our rent, $200 for our utilities, $200 for our phone bill, & $200 for food & prescriptions. I know $1,100 is a lot to ask anyone to help us with but our options are very very limited and the time frame is small to make our payments on time, so any help is appreciated deeply. COVID is straight up more deadly for people of color in the western world. Like we’re not going to be the ones screened. If you have mild symptoms they’ll say you’re overreacting. I know especially black people are more at risk because we have a 20% higher chance of having Asthma. 40-60% higher chance of having lupus. And Especially Indigenous and Black people have a History in the US of being denied healthcare

One of the things I’ve learned as a healthcare provider and a person of color is the strongest words you can use against any medical provider is “ I want it documented in my chart that you are refusing to test me OR that you deem this test unnecessary.” The most important part is getting a copy of your discharge paperwork with those words written. Everything in our notes is permissible in court and in healthcare we have a strong saying “ if you didn’t document it then it didn’t happen”. I’d love to say that 99% of physicians do believe they are doing the right thing or making the right judgement call and do not mean any malice or have ill intent towards any patient regardless of the persons race or socioeconomic status but we all know that shit just isn’t true. Trust your healthcare providers but if you don’t feel heard try explaing that to them and if not you can always ask to speak to another provider for a second opinion. We all have bosses just like you do.

I haven’t said anything about it online because its been incredibly painful, but I recently had to re-home my beloved cat Blue. I loved and still love him so dearly, but I had to re-home him because I could no longer afford to take care of him. It broke my heart, and I’m really not even sure how to express how much it hurt. Those of you that knew Blue know that he had one permanently atrophied leg, and I recently found out that he actually had a cancerous cell growing in that leg. The lady I surrendered him to had his leg surgically removed and it was over $1000 in vet bills. She is so incredibly kind and she owns the Neshama Animal Rescue in NC. I want to raise money to help fund the surgery and her rescue. She has been so sweet and made re-homing Blue as easy as something like this could be, because I know hes in good, loving hands and shes given him a better home than I could. It would mean the absolute world to me and her if you were able to donate to help fund both her rescue and the expenses of Blue’s surgery.
