Liam Hennessy Contemporary Modern Cubist Painting and Relief Sculptures.
‘My work is inspired by the surrealist idea of art as a reflection of psychic processes. I am drawn in particular to biomorphic forms, pop influences and geometric abstractions combined in a kind of visual stream of (sub) consciousness where different visual languages and genres clash and cross-pollinate. Imagery which hovers on the boundary between abstraction and representation is particularly interesting to me, and I tend to work intuitively and spontaneously without a clear idea of where each piece will end, preferring to let the process of creation itself dictate the finished form of the work.’
